چکیده

The mixed-isospin vector current correlator, h0jT(V V !)j0i is evaluated using both QCD sum rules and Chiral Perturbation Theory (ChPT) to one-loop order. The sum rule treatment is a modiication of previous analyses necessitated by the observation that those analyses produce forms of the correlator that fail to be dominated, near q 2 = 0, by the most nearby singularities. Inclusion of contributions associated with the meson rectify this problem. The resulting sum rule t provides evidence for a signiicant direct ! ! coupling contribution in e + e ? ! + ?. It is also pointed out that results for the q 2-dependence of the correlator cannot be used to provide information about the (oo-shell) q 2-dependence of the oo-diagonal element of the vector meson propagator unless a very speciic choice of interpolating elds for the vector mesons is made. The results for the value of the correlator near q 2 = 0 in ChPT are shown to be more than an order of magnitude smaller than those extracted from the sum rule analysis and the reasons why this suggests slow 1 convergence of the chiral series for the correlator given.

Comparison of Chiral Perturbation Theory and QCD Sum Rule Results for Pseudoscalar Isoscalar-Isovector Mixing ADP-95-2/T169 hep-ph/9504252

The forms of the neutral, non-strange pseudoscalar propagator matrix and mixed axial current correlator, 〈0|T (AμAν)|0〉, are discussed at next-toleading (one-loop) order in chiral perturbation theory, and the results compared to those obtained using QCD sum rules. This comparison provides a check of the truncations employed in the sum rule treatment of the current correlator. Values for the slo...

Charm-quark mass from weighted finite energy QCD sum rules

The running charm-quark mass in the MS scheme is determined from weighted finite energy QCD sum rules (FESR) involving the vector current correlator. Only the short distance expansion of this correlator is used, together with integration kernels (weights) involving positive powers of s, the squared energy. The optimal kernels are found to be a simple pinched kernel, and polynomials of the Legen...

To Two Loops in Chiral Perturbation Theory ADP - 95 - 27 / T 181 hep - ph / 9504404

The isospin-breaking correlator of the product of flavor octet vector currents, Π38 μν(q 2) = i ∫ d4x exp(iq.x) < 0|T (V 3 μ (x)V 8 ν (0))|0 >, is computed to next-tonext-to-leading (two-loop) order in Chiral Perturbation Theory. Large corrections to both the magnitude and q2-dependence of the one-loop result are found, and the reasons for the slow convergence of the chiral series for the corre...

Moments of Heavy Quark Current Correlators at Four-Loop Order in Perturbative QCD

We present the result for the first moment of the scalar and axial-vector current correlator in third order of the strong coupling constant αs and give the details of a recent evaluation of the pseudo-scalar correlator. The results can be used to reduce the theoretical uncertainty due to higher order corrections for the determination of fundamental parameters of QCD in the context of lattice ca...
